THE ART OF DIANE CHALLENOR

What lies behind us and what lies before us
are just tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Source attributed to Henry David Thoreau however
the source maybe Ralph Waldo Emerson

dedicated to my step-daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Challenor

Artist's comment: This illustration is an image of my step-daughter Becky in her imaginary room, surrounded by the things that are important to her.

Her room is blue because she once told me that she wanted her room painted blue so I decorated her imaginary room that way.

On the door is her school hat and a notice board that contains some of the many awards she achieved in her school days.

On the bookcase is her Euphonium which she played with gusto in the school band and in the bookcase are pieces of sporting equipment from her many varied interests.

She is studying the music of When You Wish Upon A Star.

A promising future full of hope.
