What is the purpose of Artuccino?Artuccino is for pure enjoyment without any commercial aspirations. It is an experience that is different for everyone. One has to experience Artuccino before it is understood. It is like Enid Blyton's "Faraway Tree" where every time you climb the tree there is a new "Land" in the clouds hovering just above. Your experience is different every time you visit. Give Artuccino a little bit of your focus and you will be rewarded. What is Artuccino?Artuccino is an imaginary café gallery in cyberspace, a web-site. A place where art can be viewed, admired, enjoyed and downloaded. Magazines are read, wisdom is mulled over, along with short biographies of interesting thinkers, special books are presented with links to their authors and inspiration is waiting in every warm welcoming corner. Artuccino interests people who enjoy art, wisdom, reading, thinking, dreaming and much, much more. It's a place you can visit over and over again. Each time you visit, we hope a little bit of inspiration will come to you or possibly you will leave a little behind. Artuccino is about sharing. It is a forum for me to share with Artuccino's visitors the wonderful things I've discovered in life related to the arts, literature and wisdom. And in turn it is a forum for Artucccino's visitors to share the wonderful things they have created and the wisdom that they find inspiring. Together we can all inspire each other. In many ways Artuccino is the front-end to a world of inspiration What does Artuccino do?Artuccino gives the visitor a thought provoking experience, free of advertising and charges. The thought provoking experience comes into existence when you visit and find areas of interest that will lead you on a journey. A journey through colourful artworks, wise quotes and all sorts of enlightening surprises. Substantial content is accessible within the site and it is enhanced with links to external sites with related information. Why was Artuccino created?Artuccino was created for you and the web site's creator, Diane Challenor (that's me). It is a forum to share our work. It gives me a gallery that I can access from anywhere in the world and show, with pride, to others. You can do the same thing, by adding a piece of your not-for-profit artwork to our Visitors' Art Gallery. Artuccino is the end result of a year of learning when I taught myself how to write the computer code required for building the web-site. Artuccino was created to inspire you and me. What is Artuccino selling?Nothing.
We have no commercial aspirations. What do you do when you visit Artuccino? When you get to Artuccino, make yourself a cup of something special. You are in for a thought provoking experience of the nicest kind. Make yourself comfortable. Allow yourself to dream a little, get inspired, discover something you didn't know or rediscover something you've forgotten. Maybe something you see will kick start your creative juices. It's a place where art can be viewed, admired, enjoyed and downloaded. You can link through to interesting Magazines, cultural groups and art galleries. The wisdom within our quote collection can be mulled over. Acquaint yourself with some interesting thinkers by reading through their short biographies and discovering what they gave to the world. Special books are presented with links to their authors. Inspiration is waiting in every warm welcoming corner. Artuccino has an interactive feature for not-for-profit artists who want to share their art with the world. Another interactive feature is provided so you can share your favourite inspirational quote. You can find a cultural event to attend or a social group to join. A very special section of Artuccino is called the Serious Sydney Socialiser. This section can truly be inspiring for those of you who want to connect with the cultural side of your city or town. The information provided is about cultural activities in Sydney Australia, however if you are from another place, use it as an example. It can be the basis for you to seek out similar cultural centres in your city or town. All cities and towns have a library, an art society, a writers group or literary groups. They are there if you seek them out. And if you can't find one that suits you, create your own. In the words of Sarah Henderson "If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, go light it yourself." Two people can make a group and you'd be surprised how many like minded people suddenly arrive in your life. Enjoy.Kind regards, Diane Challenor
